St Marys Child Care Centre
The centre is situated in the grounds of the St Marys Community Health Centre in Gardiners Creek Road, St Marys and has places available for 10 children at any one time. The indoor layout of the centre caters for ease of supervision, with open plan play areas and windows facing onto the outdoor area, this assists with providing optimum opportunities for supervision.
Philosophy
St Marys Child Care Centre believes that children deserve and have a right to feel safe, physically and emotionally in a nurturing environment. this environment develops, challenges and enables each child to progress at their own rate of learning. We aim to encourage children to develop a sense of self worth in building the formation of stable, caring relationships with staff and other children. We also support the development of independence and personal achievements, build an awareness and understanding of equal opportunity, social justice and cultural diversity, as well as help children to actively explore and develop an awareness and respect for their environment.
Hours of operation
The centre offers care between the hours of 8.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday. Session times are:
Full Day 8.00 am - 4.30 pm
Morning Session 8.00am - 12.00 pm
Afternoon Session 12.30 pm - 4.30pm
The centre is closed for 4 weeks over the Christmas holiday period, fees are not payable during this closure period.
