Welcome to NCN , read on to find out more.....
Northern Children's Network (NCN) is a 'Not for Profit', community focussed child care service provider.
NCN is committed to providing Tasmanian families access to child care that is high quality and fun for children.
NCN commenced in 1975 as a small Family Day Care service and has now grown to become the largest provider of Family Day Care in the state.
NCN in the North and SCS in the south, also offer employment opportunities for budding
Family Day Care and In Home Care educators. We are here to make sure children have a safe place to play, and grow into confident learners.
NCN continues to work closely with both rural and regional communities, focusing on supporting their individual needs in relation to child care.
In 2011, due to enormous demand for home based child care we opened up our sister office – Southern Childcare Services (SCS).
SCS has now grown beyond expectations, and is considered an important part of the southern community, offering flexible home based child care with their Family Day Care and In Home Care services.
PLUS employment for over 70 child care educators.
NCN overall supports approximately 250 registered child care educators PLUS innumerable families and around 100 staff.
Our Long Day Care Centres include Beaconsfield, Bicheno, Campbell Town, Triabunna, Queenstown, Scottsdale, St Marys,
and Flinders Island.
Exciting and fun-packed After School Care and School Holiday Care programs are available at most of these centres.
including Amy Road, Newstead, and After School Care at Invermay Primary School.
NCN has a simple goal,
to 'help create confident children', come and join us and you will see why.
In October 2013, NCN and SCS were proud recipients of the Business Enterprise Award, which is part of the statewide Business Achievement Awards.
