Philosophy

We believe that children have the right to:

  • Feel safe and to develop a sense of Belonging, Being and Becoming
  • Foster strong and caring relationships with the educators
  • Engage in shared decision making
  • Be valued for individual differences that each person brings
We aim to encourage children:
  • To develop a sense of self-worth in building the formation of stable, caring relationships with others in their community and  their environment
  • In the development of independence and personal achievements
  • To celebrate the benefits of diversity and have an ability to understand and honour differences
  • To actively explore and develop an awareness and respect for their environments
  • To develop a sense of ownership within their care setting and to form strong relationships to help form their own identity
  • To have opportunities to investigate and learn through play
